DADU, Jan 10: Seven people among them state minister for railways and taluka nazim Sakrand were booked under relevant sections of the Sindh Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1972 for hunting illegally in Khirthar National Park area on Wednesday.

Game Inspector Asad Ali Mari filed an FOR (first offence report) under sections 7(1), (2) 10, 15, 17, 33-A of Sindh Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1972 accusing State Minister for Railways Amjad Mallhy, Sakrand Taluka Nazim Ghulam Ali Shah, his brother former MPA Ghulam Mustafa Shah alias Mir Shah, an influential Malik Shiraz, Ramiko, Wasayo and Dost Ali of illegal hunting.

He said that when he spotted the group illegally hunting an animal locally known as "Saru" in Kambhoo Jabal area of Khirthar National Park on Tuesday they sped away on a vehicle (No:8900) after exchanging hot words with him.

Field officer of Wildlife Department at National Khirthar Park Ghulam Sarwar Jamali said that they had sent a copy of the FOR to Thana Bula Khan police station.

CLASH: Three women and three men suffered injuries in an armed clash between two rival groups over a piece of forest land in Dano Chandio village of Dadu taluka on Wednesday.
