Anwar Pirzado’s death condoled

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 10: Pakistan Intellectual Forum (PIF), Islamabad, Wednesday condoled the death of renowned Sindhi poet, eminent journalist, critic, archaeologist and a staunch disciple of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Anwar Pirzado, who died  in his native village Balhrahijy near Moenjo Daro, Larkana district.

In a letter written to his sons, a host of intellectuals and writers from

Islamabad including Asadullah Mungrani, Dr Munir Abro, Dr Haider Sindhi, Manzar Kazmi and Aftab Ahmed expressed their deepest condolences to Pirzado’s family and to the people of their native town, who lost a dedicated social engineer and a distinguished people’ s person and servant.

“Pirzado brought to the youth of Sindh, in particular, of his native district, a true sense of optimism whenever evil days fell on them,” said Hashim Abro of the PIF, adding that the late Pirzado “will be remembered for his character, competence and contribution in all social, intellectual and literary circles”.
