QUETTA, Jan 8: The government should stop military operation against Baloch tribes and initiate talks for resolving all issues confronting Balochistan. Sardar Yar Mohammad Jamali, chief of the Jamali tribe, was addressing a press conference in his native town Usta Mohammad on Monday.

According to a press statement issued here, he offered his services for mediation between the government and tribesmen and said that government should review its policy about how to deal with the Baloch people in view of the province’s tribal background.

“The continuing operation against Baloch tribes would worsen the situation in Balochistan. It would not help resolve any issue,” Sardar Yar Mohammad Jamali said, adding that government should stop saying anti-state to Baloch people take steps for removing mistrust against each other.

“I am ready to play the role of a mediator to restore trust between government and baloch people and for it government must stop ongoing operation in Marri Bugti areas,” he said.
