LAHORE, Jan 7: A youngster allegedly shot at his sister and brother over a domestic issue in the Qila Gujjar Singh area late Saturday night. Reports said Hasnain wanted her sister Zohra Bibi, 25, to marry according to his choice, but the latter refused to do so. They used to quarrel with each other over the issue.

Both siblings exchanged arguments yet again on Saturday night and their brother Husain interfered and tried to placate them. However, Hasnain went beside himself in anger and picked up a pistol and opened fire on both the siblings. Seriously injured, the two were taken to Mayo Hospital.

The police registered a case against the culprit on the complaint of injured Husain.

Meanwhile, the Sherakot police registered a murder case against the two brothers who had killed their two sisters over a money dispute the other day.

Shazia, 25, and Rubina, 22, were murdered by their brothers Abdul Ghafoor and Arshad at Gujran da dera, put their bodies on a cart and later threw them into the Ravi.

Mohammad Ali’s two daughters Rubina and Shazia were married to Karamat of Gujrat and Yousaf of Walton, respectively, and both had two children each.

The police registered the case on the complaint of Yousaf, Shazia’s husband.

However, the bodies could not be traced even after two days.

FOUND DEAD: A teenaged employee of a local hotel was found dead in his room under mysterious circumstances in Gulberg in the wee hours of Sunday.

Akmal, 15, went to his room after completing work and was taking a sleep. On Sunday morning, he was found dead.

GANG BUSTED: Baghbanpura and Hanjarwal police separately claimed on Sunday to have arrested six members of two gangs and recovered booty, besides illegal weapons, from them.

A team, headed by Baghbanpura SPO, nabbed Tariq alias Tarqi, Mustafa and Akbar of Tarqi gang and recovered 15 cell phones, jewellery and illegal weapons from their possession.

Another team, led by Hanjarwal SPO, arrested Asif alias Asu and his two accomplices and seized a Toyota pick-up, cable worth millions of rupees, latest cutters and illegal weapons from them.
