KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: A Filipina maid, allegedly murdered the six-year-old son of her Kuwaiti sponsor and stabbed other two before attempting to commit suicide by jumping from the roof of a house, security sources said.

According to reports the sponsor and his wife were preparing for Maghreb prayers on the ground floor of their house, when the maid slit the throat of their six-year-old son, identified as Salem Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, on the first floor.

The 28-year-old maid then stabbed Salem’s 13-year-old brother Abdullah and 17-year old sister Hajer, the report added.

Alarmed by the screams of his children, the father of the victims rushed to the first floor only to find one of his sons murdered and the other two children stabbed by the maid.

Alerted by the father, security men rushed to the scene and referred the injured children and the maid to the hospital where they were admitted to ICU.

The father of the victims told reporters that the maid was not mentally ill and she was hired a couple of months ago.
