Four militants killed

QUETTA, Jan 6: At least four militants were killed in an exchange of fire between the security forces and armed militants in the Sangsilla area of Dera Bugti district on Saturday. Two security personnel were also injured in a landmine blast in the Kahan area.

The security forces were conducting an operation after receiving information about the presence of a farari camp in Sangsilla.

According to reports, at least four militants were killed, including one of their commanders, Dur Mohammad Bugti, while seven others were arrested.

The security forces had succeeded in destroying the farari camp, some 20km from Dera Bugti town. However, there was no official confirmation about the casualties in the action against militants.
