PESHAWAR, Jan 5: A three-member gang allegedly involved in snatching of cell phones besides looting cash at gun-point from people was busted in the Cantonment area, police said here on Friday.

Police claimed to have recovered three pistols and dozens of rounds from the possession of the outlaws. Cantonment SP Abdul Ghaffor Khan has constituted the raiding party following information about the presence of robbers' gang who became active in mobile phone snatching.

The police party raided their hideouts and arrested accused Amjad and Arshad, residents of Nothia Jadeed, along with their accomplice Babu of Charkana Road. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

FREE MEDICAL CAMP: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Salim Saifullah Khan on Friday arranged 4th free medical camp in the Civil Hospital in Tajori wherein specialist doctors from Islamabad and Peshawar participated.

According to a press release issued here, the free medical camp conducted tests of the deserving patients and distributed free medicines among them.

It is learnt that Senator Salim Saifullah is spending his salary and other perks for the welfare of Lakki Marwat district.—APP
