BRP man injured in crossfire

QUETTA, Jan 4: A personnel of the Balochistan Reserve Police (BRP) suffered bullet injuries in an attack on the camp in the Khajuri area of the Bolan district on Thursday. Sources said that some armed men opened indiscriminate fire at the camp of the BRP in the Khajuri area late in the evening, which was returned. During the crossfire the personnel of the BRP suffered injuries and was shifted to a hospital in Mach. The attackers later fled.

Meanwhile, security forces claimed to have arrested a suspect, Mohammad Azam, from Lahri and shifted him to unknown location for interrogation.

The Anjuman Ittehad Marri said that a resident of the new Kahan Marri camp, Ahmed Khan, had been shifted to unknown place by the security people. He was injured last week in police firing and was hospitalised.

A spokesman for the AIM said that hospital authorities and his family members had no information about him.

He demanded that authorities concerned should let the family know the whereabouts of Mr Khan.
