FAISALABAD, Dec 30: Police have installed surveillance cameras at various points to avert any untoward incident on the eve of Eidul Azha.

A special security plan has been devised. Policemen in civvies have been deployed at various busy markets, mosques and imambargahs.

Police spokesman Qazi Farooq Sultan said security had been beefed up in the district and patrolling increased. Police would also guard the places where Eid congregations would be held.

He said security measures had also been taken at public parks.

Another police officer said, “There is a high alert in the district to avert any eventuality.”
