KARACHI, Dec 28: Ferozabad police on Thursday busted a gang of cellphone snatchers operating in the Sindh Muslim Housing Society and recovered 10 mobile phone sets and six TT pistols from their possession.

The arrested gangsters have been identified as Arshad, Rehman, Zahid Mohammad, Bashir, Shahzad, Murad Ali and Naveed.

A hunt for their two accomplices, Gul Feroz and Kalu, was under way, the SHO said, adding that all the suspects were residents of Channesar Goth.

SHO of the police station said that the gangsters used to hang out near Murtaza Ground, Block B, of the Society to deprive people of their cellphones.

The gangsters would force their entry into the vehicles and deprive the occupants of their cellphones, he added.
