Three filling stations looted

GUJRANWALA, Dec 27: A gang of dacoits looted three filling stations one after another on GT Road here on Wednesday. Reports said four armed men riding a car stormed into a petrol pump at Lohianwala and made off with cash worth Rs130,000 from salesman at gunpoint.

Later they took away cash and valuables from two CNG stations at small industrial estate.

Cases have been registered. Police claimed to have arrested an accused whose identity was not disclosed.

EXHUMATION: On the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, a local court on Wednesday constituted a medical board to exhume bodies of three people.

Reports said about six months ago Nosheran Virkan and Tatley Aali police recovered three bodies from a canal and later buried them following declaring them unclaimed and unidentified.

Later, their heirs moved the SC and requested to exhume the bodies.

Special judicial magistrate Sheikh Ghulam Mustafa has deputed three DHQ hospital medical officers for autopsy.

ROOF COLLAPSE: A labourer was killed in a roof collapse at Aimanabad on Wednesday.

Reports said Humayun Mehr was working in an under-construction house when its roof collapsed. He died on the spot. The deceased was father of four minor children.
