Hubby’s killer arrested

KASUR, Dec 24: A woman confessed to killing her husband with the help of her boyfriend, who earlier was believed to be killed by robbers on resistance in a robbery bid a couple of months ago.

Nusrat Bibi from Jodh Singhwala allegedly shot dead her husband Younas with a pistol brought by her lover, Tahir Rafiq, from the same village. Later, Nusrat told police that robbers had killed her husband besides looting Rs50,000 and gold ornaments from the house. Later, during investigation, Nusrat confessed to her crime.

Investigation Officer Aas Muhammad was suspended from service for accepting bribe from Nusrat while Sub-Inspector Nazir Ahmed was demoted to assistant sub-inspector for negligence. — Correspondent
