KARACHI, Dec 24: The director admissions, University of Karachi, Dr Saleem Shahzad, announced extension in the submission date for admission fees of BBA and MBA programmes till December 27.

Four-year BS: The KU has introduced four-year BS degree programmes (evening) in its 21 departments while certificate courses have also been launched in five KU departments.

The director of evening programme and chairman Public Administration department, Prof Abuzar, said that the academic year for evening programme would start from January 2007. BS evening programme in the Arts faculty has been launched in the departments of English, International Relations, Economics, Psychology, Women Studies, Special Education, Mass Communication, Commerce, Public Administration, and Business Administration.

The Science faculty has launched BS evening programmes in Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Botany, Applied Chemistry and Food Science, he said. Certificate courses have been introduced in Mathematics, Pharmacy, Petroleum Technology, Urdu and Mass Communication.

The last date for submission of admission forms is December 28. Classes for evening programmes will start from January 6, 2007.

BSc: The KU announced that students could submit examination forms for BSc (Occupational Therapy) part-1 2006 till January 5, 2007 with a fee of Rs2,950 at their respective colleges.--PPI
