LAHORE, Dec 22: Sundar Industrial Estate (SIE) is an exemplary project which would help accelerate the pace of industrialization in the country. The Chairman, National Commission for Government Reforms and former governor State Bank, Dr Ishrat Hussain, said talking to Director, Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIE), Sayed Mansoor Abbas, says a press release issued here on Friday.

He stressed the need for one-window operation in all the Industrial Estate being set up all over the country.

Dr Ishrat said it was a great achievement of the Punjab Industrial Estates and the Punjab government. He said construction of its infrastructure was a landmark in the history of the country. He hoped that the Sundar will become role model for all future Industrial Estates being established in the country.

Director PIE, Mansoor Abbas, while briefing the chairman hoped that the project would be completed before the stipulated period of June 2007.

He also said that investment on infrastructure and factories in this estate had already crossed Rs 10 billion which would augre well for future of industrialization in this area.

He hoped that under construction factories would reach about 80 units during this month while 90 factories layout plans had already been sent to PIE for approval.—APP
