Robbers injure doctor

LAHORE, Dec 18: Robbers in their ongoing looting spree in the city shot and injured a doctor and looted cash and valuables in several successful hits on Monday. Four robbers barged into Arayian Welfare Hospital opposite Jamshaid Shaheed Park in Singhpura, Gujjarpura. They snatched cash in thousands and two cell phones from an employee, a patient and shot at doctor Abid when he tried to chase them.

The doctor was rushed to Mayo Hospital with critical leg injuries.

Two robbers came to a service station near a drain in Mughalpura area and took away Rs200,000.

Two gun-totting people burst into 295-Hamza Block near Gulshan Iqbal Park in Iqbal Town and escaped with Rs26,000, two cell phones and jewellery.

Three robbers barged into Noman’s house (154-Tariq Block) in Garden Town and made of with Rs30,000, calling cards worth Rs25,000, a cell phone and a bike.

Two robbers barged into a pharmacy at Hunza Block in Iqbal Town and made off with Rs85,000, calling cards worth thousands of rupees and a cell phone while as many robbers snatched Rs40,000 from Rehan at J-Block in Johar Town.

Three armed people came to a motorcycle factory in Kot Lakhpat at around 3am, tied watchman Farzand Ali Gondal and took away Rs28,000 in cash and a computer monitor.

The police registered a case on the complaint of factory manager Riaz Hussain Shah.

Three armed robbers intercepted Ramzan in Sector S in Defence and snatched Rs10,000, a cell phone and a wrist watch from him while two robbers riding a bike deprived Mujahid of Rs7,000 in cash and a cell phone near Maula Baksh Chowk in Lower Mall area.

Two robbers came to Shan Bakery on Kacha Ravi Road in Shafeeqabad and took away Rs50,000 and a cell phone while Rasheed was deprived of Rs8,000 and a cell phone at Scheme 2 in Shadbagh.
