KARACHI, Dec 18: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has appreciated the role of the National Commission for Human Development in the human resource development in the province, and said that it was committed to address the prevailing malaise and reverse the situation to meet the Millennium Development Goals.

He was speaking at the fund raising auction of calligraphic work here on Monday.

Auction of the Art of Healing was third in the series of such auctions conducted by a UK concern, Christies, to raise funds for rebuilding schools in the quake-hit area of Battal, Mansehra. It fetched Rs1 billion.—APP
