Outlaw killed in encounter

FAISALABAD, Dec 16: A proclaimed offender was killed in an encounter with the police in Sammundri area on Saturday.

On a tip-off that PO Rana Zulfiqar alias Mittho was taking a refuge in a house in Mohallah Islamabad, a police party, headed by DSP Aamir Masood, raided there. But the outlaws opened fire on law enforcers.

The police also returned the fire. As a result, PO Zulfiqar died on the spot while his accomplice Abbas was arrested. Police also recovered weapons and cartridges from his possession.—APP
