NAWABSHAH, Dec 14: Police on Thursday booked eight people for injuring their six rivals and attempting to kidnap three girls.

Complainant Rajab Ali Junejo lodged an FIR under section 337-A1, A-2, 324, 403, 148, 149, 504 PPC with the Nasri police, stating that eight armed men namely Ghulam Mohammad, Yasin, Saleh, Qadir Bukhsh, Allah Bachayo and three others unidentified attacked his house in village Dang near Sakrand and tried to kidnap his daughter Guddi and nieces Zaibunnisa and Husna.

He said when they offered resistance, the armed men opened fire on them as result of which he himself, his brother Mohammad Yousuf, Razzaq, Nabi Bukhsh, Ms Gullan and Nawab were injured. The armed men managed to escape.

The incident is stated to be a result of a matrimonial dispute.

The injured were shifted to PMC hospital where Mohammad Yousuf’s condition is stated to be critical.
