Ex-nazim, nephew killed

NAROWAL, Dec 12: Unidentified people killed on Tuesday a former union council (UC) nazim and his 11-month-old nephew and injured his son and two cousins in Chanderke Mangolay village in the jurisdiction of Baddo Malhi Police Station.

Former UC nazim Ehsanullah Mahar, along with his son, Arshad, cousins Nasir Ahmed and Fazl Rasool, and 11-month-old nephew Abdullah Shehar in his lap, was sitting at his outhouse. Three unidentified people arrived there and opened fire on them, leaving the infant dead and Ehsanullah, Arshad, Nasir and Fazl injured.

The injured were rushed to the Narowal District Headquarters Hospital where Ehsanullah died while other injured were stated to be in a serious condition. — Correspondent
