ISLAMABAD, Dec 11: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has amended customs rules regarding arrival and departure of vessels in ports for compliance with Pakistan Customs Computerized System (PACCS).

Through a customs notifications issued here on Monday the CBR substituted sub-chapter-II of the customs rules for those vessels to be operated in ports where computerized system was in operation.

The new rules to be specifically meant for computerized environment. It would also allow electronic processing of all documents, nomination of agents, filing of vessel intimation report and confirmation.

New rules were notified regarding the containers to bear security seals, to be stamped, filing of cargo declaration, declaration of transit and transhipment cargo, declaration of temporarily imported containers, payment of dues, vessel stores declaration, crew and passenger lists, late filing of vessel intimation report, delay or cancellation of arrival of vessels, boarding and rummaging of, supplies to vessels, and grant of port clearance etc.
