NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Dec 9: Activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a rally in Padidan followed by a token hunger strike at Jalalji Road Chowk on Saturday to protest against the disappearance of Dr Safdar Sarki and other party leaders.

The protesters warned to extend their campaign if Dr. Sarki and other leaders were not released.

Led by JSQM district general secretary Zahid Mari, Imdad Kaleri and Khadim Rajpar, the rally marched on different roads of the town before reaching Jalalji Road Chowk where the participants observed a token hunger strike.

The leaders told the reporters that hunger strike would continue for 100 hours and complained that the government had never admitted arresting and making public the whereabouts of Dr. Safdar Sarki who had been picked up by the personnel of law enforcement agencies several months ago. No case had been filed yet against him, he said.
