PESHAWAR, Dec 9: The NWFP department of archaeology and culture will soon hire consultants for the survey of one of the Sethi houses. The house is widely recognised as a historic structure.

A few months ago, the archaeology department had purchased one of the Sethi houses in Mohalla Sethian from Ismail Sethi to help preserve the cultural heritage of the city.

A handout issued on Saturday said the federal Culture Minister, G.G. Jamal, visited the house and also inspected the site of Gor Khuttree — an archaeological site in the city.

The minister inspected the renovation work being carried out on its historic gates. He also inspected the excavation work being carried out at the site.
