KARACHI, Dec 6: Four ships carrying coal, steel and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where four ships, Kota Permai and APL Jebel Ali to unload and load containers, Bow de Jin, to unload tallow and Shalamar to offload crude oil were berthed.

Four ships, Global Progress, Tai He, and Johar departed on Wednesday, while APL Jebel Ali, Kota Permai, Shalamar, Corin Thaikos, Iran Hesabi, Al-Manakh and Mariupol are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage rose to 0.112m tons comprising 25,516 tons of export cargo including 1,274 tons of clinker and 85,988 tons of import volume was handled.

The following vessels are due on Thursday: Calvin P. Titus, Oel Aishwarya, with containers, Golden Sari Indha, with coal and Pattaya Navee, with steel and general cargo.
