KARACHI, Dec 2: Two-year-old bay filly, Phapha Kutni, who made an impressive debut by claiming the Youngsters Cup on Oct 29, has strong credentials to add another feather to her cap by landing the Sprinter’s Cup in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

Despite losing to Cash Flow in the next run the filly from the stables of Shah Mardan Shah Pagara should emerge easy winner in the five furlong race meant for two-year old horses.

A pack of eight runners will battle it out for the coveted cup. Chestnut filly, Rebecca and bay colt, Inside Story, should pose challenge to Phapha Kutni.

A card of nine races has been chalked out for the day. The first race begins at 11.30am.

Three-year-old bay colt, Dubawi, who has shone after a long lapse with a facile eight lengths victory over Patricia last Sunday, is fancied to storm home ahead of Silent Angel and Dragon Heart to win feature event.

Three-year-old bay filly, Sweet Smile, who failed to finish on the board in the last run, has to bring about her best to beat Patricia to win supporting event. They should be chased by bay colt Sher Garh.

On her current form, chestnut filly, Goldi Locks, should oblige punters by winning class VII top division race. Her likely challengers are Sky Girl and Tharkyee.

With a win under his belt, four-year-old chestnut colt, Terrorist, is fancied to stretch his run. However, he will have to overcome filly Kat Mandu and Queen Of Awan.

If tried by connections, three-year-old dark bay filly, Jan-e-Mun, is likely to dominate the field of 11 contestants. She should be followed by Champion Express and Juliat.

Three-year-old bay colt, Khyber, has a good chance to claim a long overdue victory. Of late, she has been finishing on the board but the victory has eluded him.

Filly Mari paidagiree should make it two on trot while chestnut Lucky View should atone to previous loss in the other two races of the day.
