DOHA, Dec 2: Pakistani weightlifter Usman Akbar on Saturday went out of the medal contention in the men's 56kg event of the Doha Asian Games when he finished fourth in the event.

Usman failed to make it to the top half of the competition because of his poor finish.

His performance in the preliminary round was not impressive as he only managed to lift a total of 207kg and was edged out by Kazakhstan's Bekzat Osmonaliev who came third with 227 kg to move to the next round.—APP
