Girl killed in accident

ATTOCK, Dec 2: A 10-year-old girl was killed in road accident at Fatehjhang on Friday evening, According to police, Sumera, daughter of Mohammad Gulzhar, resident of Dhowk Dahlu, was crossing Pindi-Kohat road near the main chowk when she was hit by an over-speeding truck.

She died on the spot.

The local police registered a case against the truck driver, who fled the scene after the accident.

The vehicle was impounded.

DRUGS, ARMS SEIZED: Police have seized 8kg heroin from the possession of two alleged drug smugglers Mohammad Hayat, resident of Landi Kotal and Abdul Razaq, resident of Hasanabdal, during the checking of a car (Peshawar-1612) near village Burhan on the GT road.

Meanwhile, Saddar police recovered two illegal pistols - 30- bore and 32-bore - from the possession of three accused Ali Zaib, Tariq Mehmood and Pervaiz Akhat.—Correspondent
