Three killed on road

LAHORE, Nov 28: Three people, including two brothers, were killed and 11 others injured in two road accidents here on Tuesday. Three people were killed and four others injured when a truck rammed into a tractor-trolley on Raiwind Road.

According to the Raiwind City SHO, two brothers Shafiq, 35, and Taufiq, 20, their friend Karamat and others were on their way to Township when their truck rammed into a stationary tractor-trolley.

Shafiq and Taufiq died on the spot, while Karamat succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. Injured Hanif, Sharif, Sharafat and Ishaq were taken to hospital.

Shafiq and Taufiq were going to be married in a couple of days.

In another incident, seven people sustained injuries when a wagon overturned after hitting a pole owing to low visibility on Multan Road in the Hanjarwal area.

The injured identified as Safdar, Naveed, Rasheed, Allah Ditta and Zulfikar were taken to Jinnah Hospital from where they were discharged after necessary treatment. —Reporter
