Eye camp held in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR, Nov 27: An eye camp was organised by Agha Aijaz Ali under the sponsorship of Lions Club Karachi at the Shikarpur civil hospital on Sunday.

Eye specialists Dr Shah Nawaz and Dr Muqeem Soomro examined 840 patients during the three-day camp.

Some 140 patients suffering from the cataract were operated upon and fixed lenses in their eyes free of cost.

Besides, 700 eye patients were provided medicines after they were examined by the specialists.

KILLED: A man was shot dead by six armed men in Kabeer Pahore village when he was asleep in his house on Sunday morning.

He was identified as Jhando Pahore, 50.

The cause of the murder is said to be a land dispute.
