Girl falls victim to stray bullet

LAHORE, Nov 26: A girl was killed when a stray bullet pierced through her head in Sanda on Sunday. Police said Razia, 24, daughter of Iqbal, was at the rooftop of her house at 36-Usman Park adjacent to a marriage hall when a stray bullet pierced through her head.

She was taken to the Mayo Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, a man had a close shave when a string hit his neck in Ghaziabad. Tahir, 30, of Mustafaabad, was on way to a personal work by a motorcycle when the string touched past his throat. He was rushed to the Services Hospital where he was discharged after first aid.

ACCIDENTS: Two persons died while another suffered minor injury in motoring accidents in Chuhng area on Sunday.

A teenager was crushed to death by a trailer while his brother injured in Chuhng area. The police said Ramzan, along with his brother Irfan, 14, and wife Ghazala, was on way to Thokar Niaz Beg by a motorcycle (LEK-6856) when a speeding trailer (TLH-788) hit them near Baghdadi House on Multan Road.

Irfan died on the spot while Ramzan received minor injury. Ghazala remained unhurt. The police arrested driver Iftikhar Ahmad and impounded the vehicle.

In another incident, a woman was run over and killed by a speeding tractor-trolley on Multan Road.

Police said Nazir Ahmad, along with his wife Bashiran Bibi, 35, of Sherakot, were coming by a motorcycle from Loharan Walay Khuh after taking medicine when a speeding tractor-trolley (OKB-6718) hit them near Pir Adalat Ali Shah Darbar.

Bashiran suffered serious injuries while Nazir remained unhurt. The injured was taken to the Jinnah Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver managed to escape.
