KARACHI, Nov 24: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release.

Meanwhile, five more ships to load and unload containers, rice, seeds and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy fell to 70 per cent as eight ships, Bavaria Express, Aurora, IBN Battotah, Makran, Tiwal Maru, Manyas-I, Toyokaze and Ginga Saker, were occupying berths to load and offload containers, rice, cement, edible oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 43,518 tons comprising 23,916 tons of import and 19,602 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Bavaria Express, Aurora and IBN Battotah left the port.
