Rs3.5m house robbery

GUJRANWALA, Nov 21: Seven robbers took away gold jewellery and other valuables worth Rs3.5 million from the house of a landlord in Jojoki village on Tuesday.

Ashiq told police that the outlaws entered the house by scaling boundary walls. They held his family up and took away Rs2 million in cash, 118 tolas of jewellery, gun and rifle besides three mobile phones.

SEALED: The district administration sealed two tanneries in Irfat Colony and on Haidari Road for spreading pollution on Tuesday.

DCO Manzar Hayat received public complaints against the tanneries and visited the area himself along with senior officers of the department concerned. He ordered sealing of the tanneries. — Correspondent
