LAHORE, Nov 20: Iraq thrashed Indonesia 6-0 and Kyrgyzstan defeated Macau by seven goals in the 15th Asian Games football qualifiers at Doha, Qatar.

Mostafa Abd Alla scored two goals for Iraq. The other goals were scored by Alaa Khshen, Ahmed Mohammed, Ali Rehema and Ali Alwan.

The victory took Iraq on top of Group ‘B’ after Singapore and Syria played a goalless draw.

In the other match, Evgeny Malinin scored a hat-trict for Kyrgyzstan. The remaining goals were scored by captain Ruslan Sydykov, Vladimir Verevkin, Artem Muladjanov and Almazbeck Mirzaliev.

Kyrgyzstan led Group ‘A’ as the match played between Jordan and Tajikistan drew without a goal being scored.

Pakistan-Japan soccer match in round-2 (Group F) will be played on Nov 29 at the Qatar Sports Club Stadium.—PPI
