KARACHI, Nov 18: Four health inspectors posted in Keamari Town have been suspended for showing negligence in the discharge of their duties. The action was ordered by Town Nazim Humayun Khan during his surprise visit to the town’s UC-8 Shershah where he found poor sanitary condition prevailing elsewhere.

The town nazim directed the officials concerned to take immediate steps for the lifting of garbage from roads and streets and urged people to stop throwing domestic waste in streets and dumping construction material and garbage on roads.

The nazim also directed officials to take action in cases of violation of municipal laws by people.

He said steps should be taken for carrying out sweeping twice a day, and warned that any official found guilty of negligence would be dealt with strictly.
