PML women’s convention

LAHORE, Nov 17: The Punjab PML women wing will hold a convention here on Sunday to highlight the significance of the Women’s Protection Bill passed by the National Assembly.

Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi will address the convention to be held at the Alhamra Art Centre.

This was announced by Ms Shahana Farooqi and Zille Huma, president and secretary-general of the women wing, at a meeting held to make arrangements.

Secretary-general Chaudhry Zaheeruddin was also present.

All MNAs, MPAs, presidents and secretaries-general of the district organisations have been invited.

Fareeda Suleri, Shaheena Asad, Dr Farzana Nazeer, Nafeesa Sikandar Malhi, Fatima Malhi, Begum Hamid Rana, Bushra Gardezi, Durre Shahwar Neelum, Lubna Tariq, Kanwal Naseem and many others attended the meeting. The meeting decided that women wings of all district organisations would pass resolutions in support of the Women’s Protection Bill.
