KARACHI, Nov 17: Eight ships carrying cement and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Johar and Southern Unicorn, tankers, Eric G. Gibson and Orient Independence to unload and load containers and Camara to offload general cargo were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was active as eight ships departed. They are: Thor Champion, Y.M. Fortune, CMA CGM, Simba, Tower Bridge, Intrepid, Swat, Liberty Eagle and African Shark, while Guido, Johar, Camara and Eric G. Gibson are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the previous level of 85,387 tons comprising 28,703 tons of export cargo and 56,684 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Tiger Martiosyan to load molasses, Kuo Chang, Mega-1, Mol Asante, Wan Hai-6 and Irean Kordestan, with containers, Zhen Xing to unload 30,400 tons of cement and Hai An Cheng, with general cargo.
