GUJRANWALA, Nov 16: A landlord killed a dacoit and injured his accomplice at Jandiala Baghwala on Pasrur Road on Thursday.
Reports said as many as 14 outlaws tried to enter the house of landlord Ghulam Rasul who opened fire on them as a result of which a dacoit was killed and another suffered injuries. Their accomplices took the injured with them. The deceased could not be identified.
EXAM RESULT: The Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will announce the result of matric supplementary examination, 2006 on Nov 28 at board complex on Sialkot Road and the gazette will be available from the respective Habib Bank branch.

DEATH WARRANTS: The anti-terrorism court No 1 on Thursday issued death warrants for a condemned prisoner and ordered the jail authorities to execute him on Dec 6.
According to the prosecution, Qaiser Mahmood had killed five people Ashraf, Riaz, Amjad, Pervaiz and Liaquat at Shaheen chowk, Gujrat in 2001 over an old enmity with the help of his accomplices who had already been executed. His appeals had been rejected.
BAILIFF: A bailiff of the district and sessions judge raided the civil line police station, recovered one Qurban Ali from lock-up and produced him before the court here on Thursday.
Reports said police had picked up Qurban from his house and detained him without registering any case against him. His heirs moved the court for his release.
The court summoned the respective SHO and investigation officer who told the judge that he had been arrested during patrolling.
