Two killed in accident in Sukkur

SUKKUR, Nov 14: Two people were killed in an accident involving a car and a rickshaw on Monday night. A local leader of the JSQM, Punhal Mohammadani, was going home in a rickshaw. He reached near Qureshi Goth in the Site police area when the accident took place.

As a result, Mr Mohammadani was killed on the spot and rickshaw driver Shahnawaz Tunio was injured. The car driver drove away.

The rickshaw driver was admitted to the Sukkur civil hospital where he died on Tuesday morning. No case was registered till filing the report.

TWO KILLED IN GHOTIKI: Two people were killed in two separate incidents in Ghotki district on Tuesday.

Two armed men opened fire on a passer-by in Ghoto Market in Ghotki, killing him on the spot. The assailants escaped after committing the crime.

The area police shifted the body to the taluka hospital for post-mortem. The name of the victim and cause of the killing could not be ascertained.

In another incident, a motorcyclist was ran over by a trawler when he was going to Khangarh.

As a result, he was killed on the spot. The Ghotki police arrested the trawler driver and impounded the trawler.

INJURED: Seven people, including women, were injured in a clash over a minor issue in New Yard colony in Rohri.

The injured were admitted to the Rohri taluka hospital.
