HARIPUR, Nov 14: To make women prisoners and their minor children useful citizens, civil society, jails and police have to respect and protect their rights guaranteed by Islam, country’s constitution and the UN conventions.
This was gist of a day-long training session organised to capacitate jail staff on the legal rights of women offenders here on Tuesday. It was arranged by the Human Development Organisation as a part of its program to create awareness about the rights of women prisoners.
