KARACHI, Nov 11: Three-year-old bay colt, The Concord, is tipped to atone to two successive losses by lifting the six furlongs Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah Cup when the Gymkhana race meeting takes place at Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

After reigning supreme in the Sept 17 meeting, he settled for second place in the following meetings going down by half length on both occasions. His likely challengers are Dragon Heart, Silent Angel and The Arab.

He also got handicap advantage and looks set to come out with flying colours by overcoming the field.

Two-year-old bay colt, Inside Story, is fancied to claim the five furlongs Sire Produce Stakes restricted for two-year-old Pakistani horses. This is also the supporting event.

He should be chased by filly Princess Zatura and debutant bay colt Cash Flow.

A card of eight races including two cups has been drawn for the days meeting. The first race begins at 12.00noon.

If all goes well, four-year-old bay colt Paidagir should land the six furlongs concluding event. He was deprived to make it two on trot by Abhi Abhi in the last outing. Aie Bahar, Smiling Face and Gullu’s Government should complete the frame.

Four-year-old bay colt, Sher Garh, is poised to rule div I class VII race which has a small field of six runners. He should be followed by filly Swift Arrival.

Ten-year-old bay mare, Sweet Grandy, is fancied to pick up spoils in div II class VII to make it two-in-a-row. She posted a facile five lengths victory over Tom Cruise in the last meeting with Ashiq Ali astride.

She will be up against 16 aspirants in the five furlongs sprinting event. She is likely to be opposed by Lucky Luck and Juliat.

Canon Ball, a five-year-old bay horse, is our fancy to win the fourth race. However, he will have to overcome Super Shot and Fascinate.

If tried by connections, Acho Gunna and Ghabra should emerge victorious in the opening two races. The former is making appearance after a three-month lay-off.
