Pindi match drawn

RAWALPINDI, Feb 15: Naveed Ashraf and Babar Naeem smashed half centuries for Rawalpindi Friday in the Quaid Trophy Grade-I match against Lahore Whites that ended in a draw at the Rawalpindi Stadium.

After being set a target of 339 for victory, Rawalpindi finished on 236 for six with Naveed hitting an unbeaten 56 and Babar stroking 54.

Naveed, who was unlucky to miss a century by just five runs in the first innings, faced 90 balls in his knock that had six boundaries. Babar on the other hand played 93 deliveries.

Pacer Wasim Khan was the pick of the Lahore Whites bowlers snapping up three for 75.

Earlier, when Lahore Whites resumed their second innings on the final day at 208 for nine, they added 43 more runs to that total before being all out for 251. Yasir Arafat took the last wicket.
