PESHAWAR, Nov 9: The honorary consulate of Brazil was inaugurated here by the honorary consul Amer Faruque on Wednesday. The consulate was scheduled to be inaugurated by Brazilian Ambassador to Pakistan Fausto M. Godoy but owing to security reasons he could not and his message was read out to participants at a ceremony.

The message said: “This inauguration has an important significance, as our bilateral relations are going through a particularly auspicious moment.”

Honorary Consul Amer Faruque said that Brazil was the ninth largest economy of the world and fifth in area and population.
