Pakistan, India tennis series

LAHORE, Nov 4: The four-leg tennis series between India and Pakistan on home and away basis starts at Islamabad on Monday. The second match will be played at Defence Club, Lahore, on Wednesday.

The two teams will travel to India to play matches at Chandigarh on Nov 11 and Delhi on Nov 14.

Chairman, Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA), Fayyaz Bashir said on Saturday that the series would help two countries raise the standard of the game in the region.

According to format, two singles and one double match would be played in each leg.

Teams:

(India): Karan Rastogi, Rohan Bopanna, Vivek Shokeen, Divij Sharan and Mustafa Ghouse. Nandan Bal is the non-playing captain.

(Pakistan): Aisam-ul-Haq, Aqeel Khan, Asim Shafik and Nomi Qamar. Syed Hassan (manager).
