SUKKUR, Nov 4: Two people were killed by armed men in Siddiq Shahaliani village in the Garhi Khairo police area on Saturday. Reports said that a group of armed men raided a house in the village and opened indiscriminate firing.
As a result, Atta Hussain Shahaliani, 30, and Sultan Ahmed Shahaliani, 25, were killed on the spot. The assailants escaped from the place while firing in the air. The area police and villagers chased them but in vain.
The villagers said that the double murder was a result of matrimonial dispute. No case was registered.
KILLED: A man was killed and four others were injured in a accident near the Arore bypass on Friday night.
According to reports, five people on two motorcycles were standing near the Arore bypass when a trawler going to Karachi from Punjab ran over them.
As a result, Bakht Ali Bhambhro, 18, was killed on the spot and Wazir Ali, Naresh Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, and Hari Das were injured. The driver drove away the trawler.
The injured were shifted to the Rohri taluka hospital.
The Rohri police registered FIR (140/2006) against the unknown trawler driver.
DIES: Mohammad Ibrahim, who was injured by dacoits in Maulvi Dost Mohammad village in the Raunti police area near Ubauro on Friday, succumbed to injuries on Saturday morning.
According to reports, a group of armed men entered the village, barged the house of Gul Mohammad Shar and was unfastening buffaloes. The inmates woke up and resisted to armed men.
On this, the armed men opened fire.
As a result, Gul Mohammad Shar, and his son Ali Sher Shar were killed on the spot while his two other sons Ibrahim Shar and Pehalwan Shar were injured.
In the meantime, armed villagers came out and chased the dacoits. An exchange of firing took place between the dacoits and the villagers.
