Woman commits suicide

ISLAMABAD, Nov 4: A woman committed suicide in the jurisdiction of Golra police while a 17-year-old girl was electrocuted in the same locality on Saturday, police said. Shahzia Altaf, 29, was found hanging from the ceiling of her room when her parents opened the door.

According to doctors and police, the woman was mentally disturbed. Her body was handed over to her parents after the postmortem. In another incident, a 17-year-old girl Shabana Bashir was electrocuted while she was washing clothes in her house in the Golra area on Saturday.—Staff Reporter
