ISLAMABAD, Nov 3: A Seven-member delegation from Italy headed by Under Secretary of State Gianni Vemetti called on Federal Minister for Commerce Humayun Akhtar Khan on Friday.

Secretary Commerce Syed Asif Shah was also present on the occasion.

The minister after reviewing the current bilateral trade raised the issue of EU’s embarking on initiating FTAs with Asian economies, including India as WTO plus arrangement.

He informed the visiting minister that Pakistan needs to be accorded same treatment, especially keeping in view its position in the Safta context.

The support of the Italian government was requested in this regard. —APP
