KARACHI: JWP suspends activities

Published November 2, 2006

KARACHI, Nov 1: The Jamhoori Watan Party, Sindh, has suspended its activities until the central leadership crisis is over. A meeting of the party, presided over by Shehzada Zafar Jan Baloch, was held here to discuss the situation arising out of the resignation of the party’s central leaders.

Regretting the leaders’ decision, the meeting deplored that these leaders instead of resigning from assemblies preferred to resign from party offices.

The meeting expressed confidence in the leadership of Behramdag Bugti, Mir Aali Bugti and Aga Shahid Bugti and pledged to uphold the mission of the assassinated leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
