SYDNEY, Oct 30: Whether they break jinx and win their maiden ICC Champions Trophy or not, Australia have already succeeded in another mission – of filming their potential World Cup rivals.

Aussie video analyst Richard McInnes has been busy filming other teams and prepare extensive video dossiers on every potential World Cup rivals and skipper Ricky Ponting said database footage would be distributed among his team-mates before they head to Caribbean shores next March.

“We will all be given discs and we can go and look at basically anything we want to look at – yourself facing any of Indian bowlers or West Indian bowlers,” Ponting was quoted as saying by The Courier Mail.

“The same if you are a bowler, you can watch yourself bowling to every batsman and you can see dismissals and plays and misses. Whatever you want to look at, it's all there. All that stuff is great for us to have on hand,” Ponting added.

Filming teams in his hotel rooms, McInnes has been so busy monitoring television that he has been named ‘square eyes’.

“I praised him in our team meeting for being good enough to sit around in his little room all day capturing every ball that's been bowled since we've been here,” Ponting said.—Agencies
