DERA GHAZI KHAN, Oct 30: In a botched-up operation, police on Monday gunned down two alleged kidnappers without securing release of three people abducted for ransom in Rakh Shah Wali, Rajan Pur district.

Reports said the kidnappers belonging to Chhoto gang had abducted Dhani Bakhsh, Ismaeel and Hazoor Bakhsh from Rujhan tehsil on Oct 29, demanding Rs0.5 million for their release.

On a tip-off, police personnel from Rujhan, Umer Kot, Ghot Mazari and Shah Wali, raided the hideout of the outlaws at Rakh Shah Wali, ensuing a heavy crossfire.

According to police sources, two of the kidnappers were killed in the encounter, while the others managed to flee along with all the abducted persons.
