NAWABSHAH, Oct 23: Activists of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League burnt tyres on the Society Road and held a protest demonstration against police here on Monday for arresting three party workers.

The protesters, led by Khaliqdad Durrani, were carrying party flags and chanting slogans against police, said that the A-section police had arrested party workers, Rashid Chandio, Waseem Lakho and Bahadur Durrani without any reason.

The blockade brought Syed Junaid Shah, a local PML leader and the TPO to the scene of protest where they persuaded protesters to disperse peacefully. Later, police released two activists.

Sources said that the police had arrested them on the complaint of the principal of the Government Degree College, Ratodero.
