KGC AGM on 31st

KARACHI, Oct 22: A new managing committee of Karachi Golf Club (KGC) for the year 2006-07 will be inducted when the annual general body meets at the club premises on Oct 31.

The process of casting the votes which began on Oct 20 will conclude on Oct 30 at 3pm. All permanent members of the club are eligible to cast their votes.

Fifteen candidates are in the run for seven slots of managing committee, Captain Khalid Ali Anwar told Dawn on Sunday.

By virtue of his office, Commander Karachi heads the KGC. The AGM will elect vice-president, captain of the club, and convenors of various sub- committees.

In addition, Commander PN Bahadur and PN Karsaz are ex-officio members besides three nominees of Chief of the Naval Staff on the managing committee.
